👋 Hello! My name is Jacob Gildenblat.
I’m a Deep Learning and Machine Learning researcher interested in computer vision, biological AI applications and interpretability.
This blog has notes from my journey through ML and Computer Vision, which started around 2012 and very quickly became centered on deep learning. Back then I was using frameworks like caffe, and trying to use theano, and once Keras and then PyTorch came out, I instantly fell in love with them.
I do quite a bit of open source, which you can see on my github. I’m the author of the most widely used Explainable AI package for computer vision.
In 2018 I Co-Founded DeePathology.ai and was its CTO for 7 years. There I developed an Active Learning based interactive AI creation platform for digital pathology that lets Pathologists create and deploy deep learning models, as well as R&D with Pharma companies around predicting drug response from histology.
